Kat Von D Launches Global Campaign on World Vegan Day

 

Today, on World Vegan Day, vegan makeup mogul and tattoo artist Kat Von D is launching month-long, multifaceted campaign #KVDBxVEGAN in an effort to promote a global understanding of the vegan lifestyle. The campaign includes a series of promotions and experiences through a partnership between Kat Von D Beauty brand and vegan restaurants such as Crossroads Kitchen in Los Angeles, Gracias Madre in West Hollywood, Smith & Daughters in Melbourne, Australia, and HRVST in Singapore to give away free Mini Everlasting Liquid Lipstick with the purchase of a vegan meal. Kat Von D Beauty will also host beauty product and experience giveaways on Instagram through animal charities and restaurants chosen by Kat Von D, including PETA, PETA Latino, and Crossroads Kitchen. The campaign will also feature an Ultimate Vegan Beauty Haul giveaway, which will include a collection of products from Kat Von D Beauty and cruelty-free brands such as Arm the Animals and House of Lashes. “For me, it’s all about normalizing veganism,” Von D told VegNews. “I like a style, I like luxe products and artfully minded packaging that’s not brown and green. To me, it’s very appealing to give the world of veganism an updated, modern face.” Von D is a long-time vegan activist who continues to contribute to groups such as Project Chimps, Animal Equality, and California Wildlife Center, and in 2017, created four new shades of Everlasting Liquid Lipstick to benefit animal protection organization Farm Sanctuary in New York City.
