New York fragrance brand Bond No. 9 is launching a vegan lipstick collection across the United States and United Kingdom.
After 17 years of successfully launching fragrances inspired by different parts of NYC, the perfume brand is expanding into lipstick.
The New York Lips line, the first collection of legendary lip colors from the perfume house, is made to apply after a single stroke, and made “for day, for night,” it is long lasting and packed with moisture, according to the company.
“We call it a smart lipstick,” says Bond No. 9 founder and president Laurice Rahmé. “It glides on in one stroke; it knows where to go, and it lasts. It is the true essence of what a modern lipstick should be.”
The lipstick comes in nine different shades of red, which are Broadway, Astor, Noho, Nolita, Fashion Avenue, Madison, Soho, Chelsea, and Park Avenue.
Each shade comes packaged in a refillable gold case that takes inspiration from Bond’s iconic hourglass bottle.
Bond No. 9’s expansion into lipstick comes at a time when consumers are beginning to demand more environmentally friendly and cruelty free products.
To cater to these consumers, Lush Cosmetics recently launched a line that features 40 shades of vegan lipstick, and musician and model Kat Von D recently launched her vegan foundation.
Bond No. 9’s gluten-free, vegan, cruelty-free lipstick collection will be available on Valentine’s Day in Saks Fifth Avenue stores across the United States, select Bloomingdales locations, and Harrods and Selfridges in the UK.
The products will also be available at Bond No. 9 boutiques.
