Adams Morgan’s Spacycloud (née sPACYcLOUd) originated as a skater fashion brand, but now it is pivoting to become a vegan restaurant. Washington City Paper reports on the restaurant, which will stay open late serving kombucha cocktails and Filipino-inspired, plant-based food.
Plan to be in Dupont the morning of August 1, because Shop Made in DC and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will hand out cups of complimentary Lost Sock Roasters nitro cold brew coffee from a cart outside the store entrance. Shop Made in DC is located at 1330 19th St. NW and the free coffee deal will go from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. as supplies last.
The National Gallery of Art’s Garden Café recently transitioned to its summer menu, serving panzanella salad; grilled peach, feta, and pecan salad; pineapple upside down cake; and more. Try the new items as part of the weekend brunch buffet, which rings in at $30 for an all-you-can-eat spread.
After just opening its first East Coast location in Rockville, lobster-obsessed chain Slapfish is prepping for its opening at 1800 M Street NW in December. The Washington City Paper posts the menu for the D.C. proper location, which include grilled shrimp burritos and grilled cheese with crab and lobster.
